Foam Safe CA's - standard & medium-thick viscosities
Foam Safe adhesives are used primarly on open cell foams, particularly in the Radio Control hobby. In RC, building with Depron, or the pink and blue blown in foams require foam safe accelerators and adhesives. If a cyanoacrylate is foam safe, it is also low bloom and low odor. Those sensitive to CA's can use a foam safe glue and have less risk of irritation. Adequate ventilation is still recommended. One important consideration, foam safe adhesives do not have the strength of standard CA's.
Foam Safe Blue and Foam Safe 1000 are cyanoacrylates manufactured to the same strict standards as all Tech-Bond Bonding Agents. Foam Safe Blue is our standard viscosity CA, while Foam Safe 1000 has the medium thick viscosity preferred by many builders.
Note: Foam Safe Accelerators are usually required for the curing of our foam safe Bonding Agents.
Note: All foam safe CA's are highly sensitive to light and UV rays. Therefore all Tech-Bond Foam Safe adhesive products are packaged in colored poly bage restricing light and UV rays. Refrigeration of Tech-Bond Foam Safe adhesives is strongly recommended.
Special note on bonding (gluing) polystyrene: Polystyrene is a poly and requires an adhesion promoter to achieve bonds with strength.
